REACHING DECISION-MAKERS IN ELECTRIFICATION OF TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS AND MICROGRIDS

For Electric Power Professionals

Target:

Reaching key decision makers in the power and energy market.

Editorial Overview:

As electrification is the foremost technology for decarbonization, IEEE Electrification Magazine is leading the distribution of vital information on the latest electrification technologies and associated environmental, social, and policy topics that drive innovation in the transportation, electric power, and mining industries. Trending topics of industry interest including state-of-the-art power electronics, energy storage, propulsion, grid integration, data, and computing technologies for electrification have been discussed in recent magazine issues.

Special issues have been published on electric vehicles, aircraft, vessels, and railway electrification, in addition to the electrification of artic villages and islands.

What is Electrification?

IEEE Electrification Magazine is a quarterly
magazine dedicated to disseminating information on all matters related to microgrids onboard electric vehicles, ships, trains, planes, and off-grid applications.

Microgrids refer to an electric network in a car, a ship, a plane or an electric train, which has a limited number of sources and multiple loads. Off-grid  applications include small scale electricity supply in areas away from high  voltage power networks.

Feature articles focus on advanced  concepts, technologies, and practices associated with all aspects of electrification in the transportation and off-grid sectors from a technical perspective in synergy with nontechnical areas such as business, environmental, and social concerns.

IEEE Electrification, unlike many of IEEE’s other publications, is targeted towards industry  rather than members or researchers. It is more application focused, and targets users such as equipment manufacturers and policy makers.
